Jennifer and Brandon have been waiting for Christian for a long time. Jennifer and I used to work together (pre this crazy business). So when I went to see them in the hospital, I had to take my camera to snag a few shots of the sweet family. Just so you know, Jennifer is one of those girls that if you’re a woman that has been pregnant, you hate. She was so cute! When I last saw her, which was only about a month ago, she still looked the exact same except for a basketball at her belly. Then when I went to see her, she looked great! She wasn’t a hot mess like the rest of us. She’ll be back in her true religions by next week! I hate you J.Bush ;o)!
This is the only time that she made a peep. It was the sweetest cry. She was protesting having her diaper changed.
In case you can’t read what her shirt says, it’s possibly my new favorite 2 chix shirt (which I’m a HUGE fan of). It says “You had me at Epidural”.
hehehehehe……this is her pope hat!
I think this is my favorite picture.
Jennifer and Brandon were so great. They were already pros at handling her. She was also a little different from other newborns, she didn’t really care if she was all swadled up or not. She was cool to just hang out. She will make a fine girlfriend for Noah!
I just wanted to post a quick picture of Noah at Hallowwn. I’m pretty proud of this costume.
I met Jennifer through Noah’s mother’s day out director. She asked me to come and take some pictures of her sweet family. We were very lucky to be able to find a day between all of our crazy travel schedules a couple of weeks ago. I had a great time with their 5 year old daughter Sydney.
First we played with horses
Then we got all dressed up….these are my favorites
Then we did some coloring
and then became couch potatos
This one SCREAMS christmas card!
and then there was just enough time to get some fun pictures outside before Mark had to leave for a quick business trip.
Mark and Sydney planted a vegetable garden together

Hey Everyone! I know I’ve posted a TON today and I’ll hopefully post a ton tomorrow as well. I guess it’s a good thing and it means that I’m working my way through my lengthy to-do-list.
Last Wednesday Adam, Noah, and I met up with the super funky photographer Tara Kneiser of Dixie Pixel Photography for our Pay It Forward Session. For those of you who haven’t heard of the PIF Project or otherwise known as “Roadside Families Project“, it’s a project for photographers by photographers. Since we all know that the cobbler’s children have no shoes, we are trying to make sure photographers don’t fall into the same category. So John Michael Cooper of Alt-F Photography has started a pay it forward project to get photographers out from behind the camera. Each photographer’s family that is photographed must photograph another photographer’s family in return. Tara and I attended the Alt-F 1 day workshop in Atlanta together back in August and JMC photographed Tara’s family. In turn, Tara has shot the Hopes of Hope Photography as well as us. Now it’s my turn. If you are a photographer and would like to have pictures of your family taken, email me! I have 30 days to pay it forward. Remember that you MUST spread the love. If I do your pay it forward session, you HAVE to pay it forward to another photographer within 30 days.
Here are a few shots from our session. You can see the rest on Tara’s blog HERE.
The day after Michael and Rebecca’s e.session, I shot Michael’s cousin Jeff’s family. The whole family was in town that weekend, so you’ll be seeing some other family members over the next few posts. I was really excited when Natalie emailed me wanting to do a session because I hadn’t met Charlotte (aka Lottie) yet. I got some really great shots, even though Lottie decided she didn’t want to smile for me. I was lucky enough to catch a little smile while they were putting her back in her car seat. As soon as she heard the shutter click, she pulled that smile right back. At least I got one.
“daaaaaaad!!”
piggies!
There it is! The smile I was talking about.
Cory and Courtney welcomed baby Lyla to the world a couple of weeks ago. She was barely 12 hours old when I was able to get to the hospital for a visit. When I walked in, Courtney was up walking around and ready to go! If you would like to see pictures of Lyla’s big sister Ansley, click here or here.
Now that I have a bulk of August open, I’m catching up on my backlog of work. I shot the Clemmers forever ago and I’m just now getting them blogged. I’M SORRY! You may remember them from last year when we had our first fun session HERE. My little Sydney has gotten SO BIG! She’s coming up on her 2nd birthday…or just had it…HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! To see some pictures from her first birthday, click HERE to see how big she’s gotten.
We had a sleepy start
She’s already learning that purses are black holes
nothing beats an upside down baby!
Now that I’m almost caught up with wedding posts, I need to start catching up with some of the family sessions I’ve done recently. I shot Karlen and Allison back on father’s day. We had such a great time being dinosaurs, looking for rolli-pollis and playing in this amazing garden where we think some fairies may live!

Leslie contacted me a little while ago to do some family pictures for them. So we were finally able to get our schedules together and shoot around downtown a few weeks ago. I had such a great time hanging out with them. They kept me laughing between Leigh’s version of The Lion King and Brittany’s dramatic interpretation of the life of a flower. I guess you had to be there…it was hilarious! Anyway, enjoy!

When we were finished shooting around, we stopped at the new Marble Slab in Market Square for a delicious treat!
About a month ago before I left for Love Affair, My friend Sara June came down with her daughter Sophie and new baby girl Eleanor. Ellie and Sara June went to an appointment and Sophie stayed and chilled with me and Noah. So of course I took a few pictures of the kiddipoos. This is Miss Eleanor…giving her mom “the eye” This girl LOVES her peas! Noah and Sophie had a little lunch date. Isn’t that just SO CUTE?!
