Logan and Brooke’s e.session

I met Logan and Brooke a couple of years ago at my husband’s 10 year high school reunion.  After I met them, Adam turned to me and said “now that’s one wedding you’re gonna wanna get”.  I don’t think I even knew they were dating, I don’t know, I met a lot of people that night.  At any rate, it was a fun day when they got in touch with me.  We had a great time at our meeting and I loved hearing their story.  They had dated some in high school, but their path’s led them in different directions.  Everyone is so happy that they’re FINALLY getting married.  One thing that Logan said has been stuck in my mind since we met.  He said that he’s loved her for almost 13 years and he can’t wait to call her his wife.  I KNOW!!!!  I’m a little teary too.

First we started in Old Concord.  I just love that area!

Then I thought that it was only fitting to go to the scene of the crime, Farragut High School.

This is the classroom where they had class together.

Nick and Amy’s e.session

Amy and Nick booked me a for their May 2009 wedding sight unseen.  I mean, they had seen my work and met me in a drive-by at a bridal show a little while ago, but we never actually sat down and met about their wedding.  Amy just emailed me one day saying that she was sending me a contract!  I’m SO glad that they decided to do an e.session so we had some time to get to know each other.  We got off to a little rocky start when my initial plan crashed and burned.  The awesome late afternoon light totally made up for it though and we finished on a super high note.

Nick and Amy go to the movies just about every weekend, so we grabbed some popcorn at the downtown theater and took over the lobby for a little while.  Just so you know, I couldn’t give that popcorn to anyone.  No one would take it!  I payed almost $7 for it and I wasn’t about to throw it away.  So I carried it around with us the whole time we were downtown!

Then out into the yumminess.

If I had a dollar for every person who stopped to tell us that “the sun is really bright”, then I would have….well, about 5 dollars.

I love this one, I think it’s my favorite.

Well, maybe this one is.

Nick sells UT paraphernalia, so we thought it was fitting to go and get some shots around the stadium.  To our excitement, it was open!  So we grabbed a couple of shots.

**NOTE**  We stayed in the stands and did not go on the field.  We didn’t want to push our luck…or have any of the VOLS bad luck rub off on us.

I’m excited to be shooting Matt and Adria’s wedding next year.  We got together a couple of weeks ago to do their e.session.  We started off at Stir Fry Cafe at Turkey Creek because that’s where they met.  Well, not at THAT particular Stir Fry, but they both worked at the one of the locations.

Then we went down to The Downtown Grill and Brewery and played around in the upstairs bar.

I think this is my favorite

After that, we walked around downtown a little

I’m so excited to shoot MIchael and Rebecca’s wedding next year in Boston.  They were in town a couple of weeks ago and we were able to go around downtown Maryville and do an e.session.  It was a great time for us to get to know each other better and just have a good time.

Mike and Janelle’s e.session…BOWLING!

I met Mike and Janelle at the January bridal show.  They were the last couple to come through and I ended up talking to them the most.  My mom asked me at least once a week for months if I had heard from them until I finally did!  I felt such a great connection with them.  We’ve had so much fun every time we’ve gotten together.  They went bowling for the first date, so we HAD to go bowling!  I had been wanting to do a shoot in a bowling alley for a while, so I was pumped when they thought it was a great idea.  I have to brag on the folks at Strike and Spare on Western Avenue.  They were so wonderful to use.  They put us in a separate room so we had about 15 lanes to ourselves.  You’ll see how great they were because they let us go nuts!  It was a little nerve racking because they kept coming in and watching us….that always makes me a little nervous!  Make sure that you guys go over there and show them some love.

Then we headed to downtown K-Town.

Mike and Janelle are both from Colorado, but they met here in Knoxville.  They wanted to make sure we got a picture with something that said Knoxville.

Nice jump Mr. Weatherman!

Easy there Janelle…

one good turn deserves another!

Michal and Elizabeth’s E.Session

I shot Michael and Elizabeth’s e-session back at the beginning of May.  They were about to scatter because of summer break and we pretty much only had 1 day to fit them in before Elizabeth went home to Memphis.  They are really in to hiking, camping, and just being outside.  So we went to Michael’s parents property in Tellico and just walked around outside.  The weather was amazing and they were into doing anything.  I said “would you guys mind, maybe, laying down over here?”, they just said “where do you want us?”!  They were just themselves and it was wonderful.

When we pulled in I this fence was the first thing that caught my eye.  Of course the clouds were a major bonus!

I think this is my favorite from the whole day.

After playing around in the field and a quick wardrobe change, we headed down to the river.

We found some wild strawberries along the way, YUM!

I found out that they climbed a tree on their first date.  Michael confessed that he didn’t really know how to date a girl and that’s what popped into his head!  Elizabeth then said that she was a little afraid when they would climb a tree, but she didn’t want to say anything.

I kept everything pretty organic for them, but I couldn’t pass up something a little funkier to get the clouds that were rolling in.

A little ride on the ATV is always a must!

Jeremiah and Meredith’s e.session

I got to hang out with Jeremiah and Meredith a couple of weeks ago.  We had a great time shooting around downtown with them and Meredith’s daughter Peyton.  We were kind of hoping that it would rain, I know that sounds crazy.  Anyway, the weather was beautiful, so we had to make our own rain.

We walked through the farmer’s market on Market Square

A fun little family picture

We went to the World’s Fair Park and used the fountains to make our own rain!

Like I’ve said in previous posts, I’ve got a little American Gothic thing going on this year.
