Meredith’s Bridal Session

I met Meredith a couple of weeks ago at the old L&N Building for a fun bridal session. My neighbor Jessi joined me for our day of fun. We pretty much had the run of the building and took advantage of everything. Meredith came prepared too! I just did her engagement session with Jeremiah on Saturday, so I can’t wait to show you those.

Please hang tight with me this week. I’m down in Atlanta helping my parents and my sister get ready for her wedding on Saturday. They’re running me ragged!

Oh, Courtney and Mike…you guys will be the next post hopefully sometime this week.

:UPDATE:  The picture below that I “copied” was originally shot be Jamie Kutter.

Once we went inside, we completely changed direction. We had so much fun outside and then went for the more high fashion once we got a hold of these candles! Don’t worry, we didn’t drip any wax on the table or original tile floor.

Can you tell I like the ground at the L&N building?!

Fun with the pocket wizard.

OK, I can’t take credit for the idea behind this next image. I don’t remember who took it, but it was the image that won our first critique at Love Affair. Mine is slightly different, but still very similar. If you took this picture, please leave a comment so everyone can know the genius behind this. You can check out the original HERE. You have to scroll a little ways down.

Thanks for being so willing to play around Meredith! Jessi and I had a ton of fun.

So I came home the other day to find a dark mass in one of our cherry trees. Upon further inspection, I saw that it was a giant mass of bees! WHAT!?!?!?! I completely freaked out. They built that hive fast! It wasn’t there that morning and it was only 1 in the afternoon. So I called Adam to tell him about the swarm on my way to pick up Noah from school and he said he would kill them when he got home. When I got home with Noah, they were gone! There is no evidence that there were any bees on that tree. So the mass of bees was just that, solid bee! There is NO hive. Just bees on top of bees on top of bees. My skin is crawling just thinking of it. I was able to snap a couple of pictures to prove to everyone that I’m not crazy!

Greg and Jennifer’s Wedding

I shot Greg and Jennifer’s early morning wedding a couple of weeks ago.  Their ceremony was at 10:30!  Needless to say, we didn’t do pictures before the wedding.  It was the first time for me where we stepped out of the limo and everyone walked straight down the aisle.  It was a good thing that I wasn’t allowed to shoot inside the church because there was no time for me to find all of my angles and plan out where I was going to shoot during the ceremony.  Everything was great though!  Because the sanctuary was rather small, I was still able to get everything I wanted to without any preparation.  After the ceremony, they had their reception at their house.  It was perfect for them.  We did a test run of something we want to start offering which is our “crazy go nuts booth”.  Well, that’s not the official title, but it’s what we’ve been calling it.  I’ll have some of my favorites posted soon.  After they left their reception, we still had a couple of hours and played around a garden in Fountain City and then took the party to Market Square and downtown Knoxville for a little urban action.  You’ve already seen one picture of them that a posted about a week ago of them dancing in Greg’s office.  Anyway, here are some of our favorites from that day.  Enjoy!

Hey Studio 4 people…have you noticed anything wrong with your filing cabinets?

I love that Jennifer’s sticking out her tongue!

They gave Greg’s boys wedding rings too.  It was very sweet.

We got so lucky with the weather.  It was a 60% chance of rain and we didn’t have a cloud in the sky.  It was also the peak weekend for the dogwoods.  You know us East Tennesseans love our dogwoods!

We were waiting for the trolley to come and pick us up…we thought we needed a little help!

One of the guests kept a timeline of the ceremony.  He wrote down what time everything happened so they know exactly when they said their vows.  That’s a great idea that I might start doing for everyone….but that might take away from my pictures.  So maybe this is something that you should do for the weddings you go to in the future.  This is a great keepsake.

There are so many things I love about this drawing that make me laugh.  Jen is twice the size of Greg and Greg has googly eyes and a _______(fill in the blank with your favorite type of) mustache.  My FAVORITE part about it is that Spencer really captured a very important part of Greg at that point in time.  Check out his T-Shirt.  “Gettin’ Lucky in Kentucky”!

This is the outside of Greg’ office.  It’s very cool.

A fun little self portrait.

The End!

Dino and Anna’s Wedding

Wow!  I’m so far behind!

Dino and Anna got married back on April 5th at her Uncle’s house.  It’s such a cool historic home that everyone swears is haunted.  I didn’t have any personal encounters, but we were having battery issues.  SO maybe the ghosts were draining our batteries because they have a sick sense of humor!  Anyway, Anna wanted to get married outside and about 30 minutes before the ceremony it started raining….and didn’t stop.  We talked through the options of having it inside, but Anna wanted to get married outside.  So we did it outside!  They had a cocktail hour before the ceremony, so everyone opened their umbrella’s and came on out!  Anna’s sister’s band played a set and everyone had a wonderful time.  Thanks for letting us hang out with you guys!

Here’s a fun little side note.  I shot Anna’s sister Rachel’s wedding last year.  You can see some of those pictures by clicking here.

This is their sweet dog!

This is my favorite from the whole night!

They found out that they were pregnant that morning!  They’re going to have a little tattooed belly dancing baby!

David and Jessica’s Wedding

So I did a little editing marathon last night to finish all of David and Jessica’s pictures to blog.  I can’t believe how behind I am.  They got married 3 weeks ago tomorrow!

We had a great time!  The whole day I kept feeling like I was missing something because it went so smoothly.  Jessica had everything planned out and we ran ahead of schedule, which everyone knows rarely happens!  We got lucky with the weather too.  It didn’t start raining till they were exiting their reception.  They still had me for a couple of hours after that, so we went and played around Sevierville a little bit.  They got married at First Baptist Church Sevierville and their reception was at Sherwood Forest

I don’t know what’s going on with the proportions of my vertical images, just hang tight with me while I figure it out.

The guys started playing a little basketball while we were wrapping up pictures.

I loved the bathroom at the reception, so I snagged Jessica for a few pictures in there.

I shot Greg and Jennifer’s wedding this past Saturday.  I don’t have all of their pictures finished, I just promised that I would blog one of their images this week for all of Greg’s coworkers at Studio4Designs.

Wow, the wedding season really took me by surprise.  No, I didn’t forget that it was starting.  It’s just been several months since I’ve had consecutive weddings and I was not mentally prepared for everything.  So I’m 3 weddings and 1 engagement shoot behind blogging.  Then add 2 bridal sessions that I can’t post till the wedding per the request of the brides.  So here are 4 pictures from each of the weddings/e-sessions that I have to post.

David and Jessica – 3.29

Dino and Anna – 4.5

Greg and Jennifer – 4.12

Mike and Courtney – 4.12
