I’ve had some great shoots this past week. I’m also on the way to a wedding in Marco Island, FL tonight. I’m really excited about all of these pictures, but it will be a while till I get them all posted.
Here are some from the wedding I had last weekend.

So I haven’t finished the book yet, I’m not even close. But Cheri, like a champ, finished in 2 days. Here are a couple of pictures I took. I don’t think the one picture I took of the crowd really gave it justice.
If Jonathan Lipnickie were Harry Potter

FINALLY! At 1:35 am!

Yes, I went to the Harry Potter party at Borders last night. I have never been to one before, but I figured that since this is the last book and they won’t be doing this again, I needed to experience it. I had such a great time looking at all of the costumes and little Harry’s walking around. I’m sure that Border’s was WAY beyond their capacity and would have been shut down if the fire marshall came through. But the staff handled everyone so well and I only saw one little boy crying and one angry mother. That says a lot when there are hundreds of people trying to be the first in line for something they are very passionate about. Since I didn’t think ahead and reserve a copy, I got branded with the dreaded purple wristband which meant I was in the last group to get in line. I wasn’t the last person, but there were only about 5 people behind me. I was really expecting to not get called till about 3am, but I was out of there at 1:35. I took so many pictures and some video. When I get back from my wedding this afternoon, I’ll try to post some.
Also, can you believe that not 2 minutes after the book was released, a man came in to warn everyone that there were people outside trying to spoil it?! I watched just about all of the kids walk by me opening to the first page before they reached the door. They put all this effort into their costumes and invested the time into waiting with several hundred of their “close personal friends” just to walk outside and have someone try to tell them what happens. I’m sure that the chance of them actually knowing what happens is slim to none, but a kid doesn’t always know that. All they know is that someone just spoiled the whole book for them and they’re really upset. You might as well psych them up for Christmas for a solid year and then come christmas morning say “just kidding!” I’m sorry I’m on my little soap box about that, but that really upset me.
I wish I had gone to the previous parties. I had a great time. Here’s to you Borders for putting on a great “dork” party! (That’s what Adam has been calling it)

I’m running a little behind, so I’m sorry this has taken me forever to get to. Chris and Katie got married this past weekend at Whitestone. You may remember that we did their engagement session there as well with the rainbow. Here are some of the pictures from their wedding.
On a side note, I’m super excited about Harry Potter coming out at midnight. Yes, I already have my wristband to get my copy.

This past Sunday was a time of joy and sorrow for my family. My Grandparents both passed away in the matter of a week. We are so very blessed that they went together. My grandmother went first on July 4th. They didn’t even tell my grandfather because it would have done more harm than good. The good Lord, with I’m sure some urging from my Grandmother, brought him home to be with Him just 6 days after my Grandmother. We all gathered in Hiawassi, GA on Sunday for their memorial service. I know you’re wondering where the joy part of this comes in. This was the first time that my whole family has been together….ever. My Grandmother has prayed and prayed that we would all be together, and I know that she was tickled that our reunion was because of her. She is the one that I was named after, and I will miss them both terribly. Here are a couple of pictures I took of the display and of my family together after we were all good and puffy.
To all of my faithful family bloggers,
It was so good to see all of you on Sunday and I wish we had more time to spend together. I am making Thanksgiving at Big Canoe a mandatory event. If there are objections to this, then we need to plan a reunion this fall or winter. I’m open for suggestions.

These are all of the cousins. Our poor one boy cousin Matthew got stuck in the middle. You’ll also recognize my cousin Joanna who is standing next to me and my sister Eleanor who is between her and Matthew.

I had a great maternity shoot on Thursday with Amy and her family. They’re expecting their 2nd child and she is SO VERY cute! We had a lot of fun. Here are some of my favorites of Amy and her daughter Laney.

Hey there all my faithful bloggers. My video is finally finished! Well, it’s been finished for a little while. I just haven’t had the time to be able to make it available for everyone. The best way to see it is on Tammy’s website. I also provided all of the pictures for her site, so I hope you enjoy them. Hopefully I will be able to figure out a way to get it here on my blog. I’m not very web-savy. Let me know what you think about it. Oh, it’s under video and then video portraits.
I had another great maternity session this morning. I should have some pics up soon.

I used to work with Nicole before I had Noah. I was thrilled when she contacted me a couple of weeks ago to do her maternity pictures. They were down here from Chicago visiting their families. I have such a great time with them. They were so sweet to each other and made my job easy.

This past Saturday I shot Scott and Mindy’s backyard wedding. Literally, they got married in their neighbor’s back yard. They had about 20 or so people gather to see them get married at 10 am Saturday morning and then invited all of their friends over for a backyard BBQ that afternoon. The fun part is that very very few people knew they were getting married! After we were finished with pictures, Mindy changed into a white bathing suit to great all of her guests. They just told them as they got there. What a fun surprise! I’ve had a great 2 week break from the traditional church weddings. Happy 4th of July everyone!

Andy Borrmann is a good friend of my family. I can’t tell you how excited I was when he called me to inquire about my photography services….HE WASN’T EVEN ENGAGED YET! I was absolutely thrilled when they chose me to photograph their wedding. We all met down in Clearwater, FL last weekend and lost about 10 pounds of water weight sitting outside in the sun. Even though it was hotter than the surface of the sun, they had the most beautiful day. The sky was super blue with great wispy clouds. When it came time for the sunset, everyone left the reception tent to go walk down by the water. I’m really excited about all of these pictures and I can’t wait to hear what they think of them.
