I’m such a slacker! I’ve had a couple of shoots in the past couple of weeks and I haven’t blogged them. I’m currently on deadline for the Chattanooga Premier Bride book. It closes on Monday. So all of my energy has been put into getting my ad and story pages finished for that. I will try and get those posted before the Nashville book deadline creeps up on me.
Ok, Eleanor and I went out shooting again on Friday. I was having some issues when we first started out because I didn’t know what I wanted to do. Even when we finished, I wasn’t sure if I got anything worth keeping. Once I started editing though, well, look what I got! These colors aren’t going to show up as well as they should. So just imagine that these are really vibrant and saturated.

This is one of my faves.

I did a couple more pictures of Ellie and Adam today that I feel must be seen. I also spoke with the owner of a cute tea shop in Sandestin called Magnolia and Ivy (which is right behind Eleanor in the first picture. She’s got great hats and “props” in your tea room and she’s going to let me do some shots in there. Apparently Sunday’s frigid shoot didn’t scare Eleanor too much because she agreed to get all gussied up again tomorrow. So we’re going to shoot in the tea room and then head over to a state park near by that has a BEAUTIFUL old southern house. Stay tuned!

I’m currently down in Destin for the week with my mom and Noah. As most of you know, my sister and her boyfriend live down here. So since they’re relatively attractive people and we were going to be in a pretty cool place, I decided to volunteer them to model for me. I wish we could have done more, but it was FREEZING and we ran out of light. I may try to get a couple more shots before the week is over. Here are some of my favorites.

We had a big 3-way first birthday party a couple of weeks ago for Noah (1 on 12/28), Johanna (1 on 2/20), and Brady (will be 1 on 3/29). Instead of having 3 separate parties, we just went in together and did a big one. If you want to see all of the pictures, go to my site, www.meggievelasco.com, go to the client proofing, and use the password “birthday”. As soon as I have the images loaded to be purchased, the proceeds from prints sold will be added to the money we collected for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at the party. I’ll post the link the them as soon as they’re up.

Johanna’s Boogers Itched!

Nathan and Georgie are 2 of my friends from Carson-Newman. They asked me to take some pictures of them a couple of weeks ago because Georgie was about 8 1/2 months pregnant! They are actually in the hospital right now having little Chesney. I’m just waiting to get word that she’s here. Talk about timing!
Can’t wait to meet her!
